Sports Premium

SPORTS FUNDING

The Government provides Primary Schools with additional funding to improve provision of Physical Education (P.E.) and Sport.  This funding is known as the Sports Premium. It is provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport and can only be spent on provision of P.E. and Sport in Schools.

Individual schools may choose how they spend this money but it should be used both to improve the quality of P.E. and sport provided in schools at present, and have an impact on future years’ provision.
